Is the affiliate program open to anyone and is there a fee?

Almost anyone can participate. However, there are exceptions and sites will be rejected if they promote any of the following: sexually explicit material, violence, illegal activities or discrimination based on sex, race, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age. All sites are subject to our approval. There is No Charge required to become an affiliate.

Is having a website a key requirement?

Yes. Your website must be fully operational and not under construction in order for us to consider your application.

How does the payment process work?

Affiliates will earn 10% for each referral they send to Skoobit to complete a transaction. This amount is paid monthly. 

Am I compensated for each month that a member I referred continues to use Skoobit?

No. Affiliates are paid a one-time fee for each new person they refer that signs up for our service and rents a textbook through your referal only. It is not continuous. 

Is the program still available to me if I do not live in the U.S?

It is still possible to become an affiliate if your site is managed outside the U.S. However, you must provide substantial evidence that clearly shows your website has a sizeable U.S. audience, since only U.S. residents are eligilble to rent textbooks from Skoobit.

Where do I get the links to put on my site? Can I make my own links?

We at Skoobit provide you with all the links and images to be used on your site. They can be accessed through your Shareasale account once you have been admitted into our affiliate program. We do not authorize the creation and use of your own images to promote our service. However you can create your own text links once they are similar to the ones we provide. If you have special needs, we can discuss and consider alternatives with you.

Can I integrate Skoobit Rental Prices on my Price Comparison Engine?

Yes, integrating Skoobit prices into your online shopping engine or comparison engine is easy. Just sign up for a Skoobit.com Affiliate Program account and we will send you the service requirements that you will need.

What promotion tools can I use to advertise Skoobit?

You are allowed to use any of our links and various tools including news letters and emails but it has to be approved in writing in advance by Skoobit.

How can I monitor how many referrals I have made?

This is done through our third-party provider, Shareasale. They are responsible for tracking and reporting all activity from your site to ours. Each Skoobit link on your site is equipped with a special tracking code that records when a customer has clicked through to our site, signed up for our service and completes a transaction. Shareasale makes this transaction information readily available in your Shareasale account.

Am I able to bid on key words for advertising purposes only?

No, you may not bid on keywords, unless you have written permission from Skoobit in advance. In addition, bidding on the Skoobit trademark or any misspellings of our trademark is strictly prohibited at all times. You may not use the trademark in your URL or in copy.

Can I link to Skoobit from different web sites?

Yes. You can link to Skoobit from more than one website.

Where should the links be placed on my site?

This is up to you. However for maximum exposure you should place the links on your homepage which is visible to everyone once they log on to your site.
